Canal Boat Holidays

Viking Afloat

Kidderminster

Viking Afloat Canal Boat Holidays rate personal choice very highly - They like to offer a wide choice of cruising routes from one of their four bases; a wide choice of hire periods, including Short Breaks, one and two week holidays; a choice of at least four different start days and a choice of canal boats which are fully equipped for parties of between two and ten people. Their mission is for you to enjoy the special experience of a canal boat holiday with them and so they try to make your booking as fully inclusive as possible whilst at the same time offering all their customers genuine flexibility.

As a result of listening to what their customers say, they endeavor provide one of the most extensive inventories of equipment to be found on a canal hire boat anywhere in Britain. They are also one of a very few companies that provide pure filtered drinking water on all of their boats and as part of their faultless service, they provide all customers with a full demonstration of the boat and all its systems, as well as teaching newcomers how to handle the boats and how to handle the canal locks. All the boats have on board a comprehensive manual and the company provides expert help around the clock with a 24/7 emergency helpline.

Over two thousand miles of navigable inland waterways, threads their way through some of Britain's most beautiful and ancient countryside, offering havens for wildlife and a rare insight into the nation's industrial heritage.  This network of waterways also takes you to the heart of major cities, with all the buzz and excitement that they provide.

There is nothing quite like a canal boat holiday on Britain's Inland waterways. Friendship when you meet other boaters, or when you tie up at the pub for a drink or a meal. A holiday of contrasts, taken at a slow pace.  The variety is seemingly endless with city, town, village and country, wide canal, narrow canal and river. Every bend brings you to some new feature. You can never see it all, no matter how many times you return.

A  break away on the canals is for relaxation, for unwinding from every day pressures and for letting you do what you like, whenever you like.
